Hotel Tempo di Mare

We stayed here while attending a wedding on the island. For a 4 star hotel, we and friends were surprised they did not have any irons available, but expected people to use their paid laundry service. We planned to iron our folded clothing when we arrived, but the price to do so would be the price of purchasing an iron ourselves. (When I pointed this out, and to his credit, the receptionist arranged for our clothing to be ironed for free). The room was nice, but smaller than I expected for a 4-star, and disappointing that they use un-environmentally friendly flimsy, disposable plastic cups. Also, the 10am check out is too early, and although you can get served breakfast until 10:30am, they rushed us off after we got our breakfast, seemingly more interested in finishing up their morning routine than customer satisfaction.

We had a wonderful stay at Tempo di Mare. The level of service was excellent, the staff was incredibly attentive. The city centre is a short walk away, and we rented bikes to get to the beach. Breakfast was delicious – with plenty of sweet and savoury options, including granita! We stayed here at the start of July (beginning of high season) and found the overall experience quite luxurious yet reasonably priced. 100% recommended!

One star because the staff was great and helpful. The hotel prices are just exaggerated, nonsense. In our “deluxe” room the sink was leaking water from below and the wardrobe had falling doors. We claimed and got the room changed, however we experienced similar problems. Also, not even a bottle of water included in a 240€ per night stay. Further, we used the bike rental offer but the bikes were shameful. The breakfast room has a nice view but it’s full of bees that are tasting the food before you take it. Will never come back here again.

This is an incorrect hotel because I wanted to book a room through booking.com but couldn't go due to a problem with the website. They told the reception that they have a room free with a balcony for a good price. We were tired and we said okay price was also agreed. A day later I went to pay but the price was much higher than the agreed yesterday. I also mentioned that a 4 star hotel does not provide gluten free breakfast. So I couldn't eat anything. So now I'm here without breakfast and I paid more than the agreed price.

After reading many reviews regarding rude staff I was concerned about my booking. Our stay was pleasant. Our check in went smooth and staff was friendly . We were shown to our room and had help carrying our luggage. We received an excellent explanation about the hotels amenities, bike rentals , shuttle service and the town itself . We had a quadruple room with fridge. The room was nice and clean, great beach decor and smelled wonderful. Only downside was the tiny shower . I turned the shower off multiple times trying to wash my hair hitting the lever with my elbow. Fortunately that wouldn’t stop me from staying here but if you are large it may be an issue. We used the hotel shuttle to lido beach and to the port and both times they were punctual and fast. We rented 4 bikes. They only had 1 left but quickly had some delivered from another rental . Beach-towels are available at the front desk (no charge) . Very good breakfast choices minus the bacon and eggs .And cappuccino on request( no charge) . Check out was smooth . They printed our boarding passes and desk attendant even made change for us from her own wallet. Only issues other than the shower was room service. We requested privacy and put the hanger clearly on the door. Left all our items out however our privacy request was ignored and they entered and made the beds , took our items / clothing off the bed . This occurred shortly after we left to town. The free welcome drinks were only two wine choices. We were charged for a plain coke ( not a deal breaker) and the bartender was not friendly at all( the only unfriendly person on the premises). The seating in the front was uncomfortable and missing most of the patio seating cushions . All in all great stay and we will be back in “Favignana” and make recommendations, however the privacy issue may not bring me back here
